June
June ended with average temperatures and significantly above average rainfall levels. Unfortunately, data from the 25th June to 1st July was lost due to a power cut. All of our available data will be added together with data from an alternative location (South Normanton) which is a couple of miles away. On June 25th about the whole months worth of rain fell in a single day. Truly exceptional, although not good for many people. Although 14.8°C is the result we have, the actual adjusted figure is based on a combination of data.

July
A cold month, significantly below the 30 year averages. July was also an exceptionally wet month again, although we recorded no one exceptional day like in June, this month stayed consistently wet.

August
A dry month. August ended summer 2007 as the best month, although really the month was only notable for it’s dullness. Temperatures were average to slightly below average.

Overall Results
A poor summer by all accounts, this summer will be marked down in history as very wet overall with slightly below average temperatures. A summer that has certainly left many people and organisations with egg on their faces after predictions of blazing hot sunshine never came to fruition. A summer notable for not even achieving 30°C at any time, the highest temperature being 29.2°C, recorded on August 5th.
